Blog >> HOSHIZORA

Opened On: May 05, 2005
Owner: Jenny
Blog Name: HOSHIZORA
Naming History: This is my personal blog called HOSHIZORA, which means "starry sky" in Japanese. This site is named after a L'Arc~en~Ciel song. At first, this site didn't have a name, it just goes by my online nickname "BuNnIeMomiJi". But as I use this blog more, I decided I should name it. I browsed through some song titles since they always give you good ideas. Around that time, L'Arc~en~Ciel (a great JRock band) released their album, AWAKE. Hoshizora which was the 11th track was the one I selected.I went to read the translated lyrics and the lyrics is SO beautiful. Please go here to read the lyrics of Hoshizora written by hyde: Lyrics

History: Around the time when I opened this blog, I was new to web designing. I thought web designing was cool and fun, so I decided to try it out. I started out with a fan site, which is still alive and still exists: http://www.namifan.net. While I was searching for other fansites to see how fansites are like, I bumped into a blog that has Nami Tamaki featured in the layout. That's when I decided I should have one too! I was also into xanga that time, which is now dead. So instead of updating in xanga, it would be better to have my own blog, that I have full control of. First my site was hosted by Geocites and then AtSpace since I needed more disk space and bandwidth. After a couple of months, I was introduced to php. Atspace doesn't provide php hosting, so I went to looks for personal site hostings, and I found LBN Hosting. I really enjoyed being hosted there, lots of bandwidth, disk space, and the admin is really nice. But one day the site just disappeared. After that, I decided to just get my own domain since it would be less of a hassle. So now I have my own personal site.
